It's worth thinking carefully about what you want to achieve before starting a recording project. Creating a recording comparable to songs you hear on the radio, is not an easy undertaking. It requires time, pushing the boundaries of excellence, and great attention to detail. Some projects may of course be quicker than others. A jazz trio of well rehearsed virtuoso musicians, might knock out an album in a week. Whereas a solo pop artist needing an epic, textured arrangement, with symphonic strings, full band, and gospel choir, might be hard pushed to finish a single in two weeks. But as a starting point, please get in touch to discuss your project. I'd really love to help you realise your vision for your music, so will be as accommodating as I possibly can for the budget you have available.

These rates refer to a standard 3 min pop song. If you've already written a piano part in midi and just need me to record it, then look at the "midi" options. If you would like me to write and then record a part for you, look at the "original" option.
The standard package consists of one stereo pair of microphones recording the audio.
The deluxe package includes 3 stereo pairs to give more mix options: close pair on the hammers, a close/wide pair, and a more distant pair for roomier sound.

We can tailor a package to your needs whether it's the starter package consisting of a single camera angle and one take performance, to the deluxe (a multi-angle high production value film). The sound will be perfect in both cases. Please note that for the deluxe package I work with a couple of different film production companies to bring in the right level of expertise, so this cost may change based on their rates at the time.

The day rate reflects a "dry hire" rate. This means you can use the mix room, by yourself for your writing retreat. I'll mic up stations for you so all you need to do is hit record to capture your inspiration. Please note that not all microphones will be made available for these sessions, just those we agree upon based on the instruments you'd like to use. The hourly rate reflects costs for collaborating with me on your songs.
