ANTHEMIC PIANO
Real piano recordings for your music.
Anthemic Piano is your ultimate piano session musician. Our beautiful Yamaha upright piano is a YUS1 Disklavier with upgraded strings and hammer felts taken from the flagship Yamaha concert grand piano, making this a warm, refined sounding piano that will fit perfectly in anything from pop tracks to film music.
It's a real acoustic piano, with a twist.
Built in electronics allow the piano to read midi data. It can perfectly capture and play back any performance, or read and play back a midi file created by a different midi controller entirely. This opens up a world of possibilities...
NO MORE SAMPLE LIBRARIES
Sample libraries are great for mocking up arrangement ideas and refining parts, but simply can't compete with the real thing when it comes to expression, emotion, and realism.
You can probably get away with a VST piano in a busy track. However, it sounds very obvious when the piano part is exposed in a voice/piano context or sitting against other real acoustic instruments.
Every little bit of magic added elevates your track to new heights: replacing VST drums with the real thing, replacing guitar amp sims with the real thing, now you can easily replace VST piano parts with the real thing.
A real piano recording for your music will take your track to the next level. Perfect your piano part at your leisure in your DAW of choice, then send us the midi and have us record your part on a real piano through world-class recording equipment.
THE SEARCH FOR THE PERFECT PIANO LIBRARY IS OVER
A PERFECT PERFORMANCE EVERY TIME
ONE TAKE WONDER
Perhaps using midi and sample libraries helps hide some issues in performance and timing? We all love that "quantise" button from time to time. It's a shame it's not that easy to edit the timing of a live performance, and that you have to record multiple takes and then painstakingly compile and edit the perfect part afterwards. Well let's change that...
That's why Anthemic Piano is your ultimate session musician. Quantise or tweak your midi to perfection if you wish, and Anthemic Piano will play it back perfectly, exactly the same, no mistakes, every time. It doesn't matter how difficult the part it, it might be impossible for a human to play, but Anthemic Piano will be able to play it.
You may notice from the promo video, that although the piano music sounds quite simple, it would require 6 hands to actually play it by humans!
ULIMATE FLEXIBILITY
It's happened before. You've hired a studio, recorded your parts, got the perfect take, and then the singer says "Actually I wonder if we can take it down a semitone or two?", or "I think the song needs to be faster/slower".
Anthemic Piano can be manipulated just like a midi part. If you need to change something at a later date, perhaps change the part in a chorus, or transpose it to another key, it's as simple as sending through a new midi file to record. It works out far cheaper than booking a studio again and trying to recreate that perfect take. Even better, the original performance is retained. So if you did capture that perfect performance the first time round, you can have the same performance in a difference key, or have it sped up or slowed down.
Alternatively you might have got that perfect take but it doesn't fit in the track sonically. Maybe you want to try something different. You can have the same performance and part recorded differently, perhaps with felt across the strings instead with a different mic setup for a more intimate, epic sound.
CHANGING A PERFORMANCE IS AS EASY AS A MOUSE CLICK
REPLACING MULTIPLE LIBRARIES WITH GREATER AUTHENTICITY
SAME PIANO MULTIPLE SOUNDS
A piano recording will sound different depending on how you treat the piano. If you want a small upright sound, leave the panels on, put it against a wall. A larger, fuller sound? Take the panels off, and pull the piano out into the room. An affected muted sound? Drop some felt across all of the strings.
Our piano is capable of many different types of sound depending on how it's treated, where the mics are positioned, what type of mic is used. You would need to own a number of different sample libraries to achieve the same variety of sounds, and most will not offer a range of different microphone options with different microphone placements. Most importantly though (yes we're biased) they still wouldn't match the realism and beauty of the real thing.
